GOLDEN CITY- A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, at Bethel Cemetery, on Hwy. 245 near Dadeville, for Tyleen Elizabeth Winterbower Uhlman Volkman, 58, Golden City, who died peacefully at her home on Monday, July 10, 2017. A celebration of life will follow in Stockton.

Arrangements are under the direction of Four State Cremation.

Survivors include her mother, Carole Mitchell, Pittsburg, Kan.; her longtime companion and husband, Claude Volkman; her children, Tyleen Winterbower Caffrey and husband Ed, Pittsburg, Kan., Edward Uhlman, Springfield and Norman Uhlman and Albert Uhlman, both of Kansas City, Kan.; her siblings, Anna Hazel and husband Stanley, Vandalia and Robert Mitchell, Pittsburg, Kan.; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Clarence Mitchell; brothers Walter Jones and Edward Lee Jones and a son, David Allen Winterbower.

Mrs. Volkman was born Aug. 8, 1958, in Kansas City, Kan. She was a graduate of HC Harmon High School and after moving to Golden City she had worked in manufacturing for multiple companies, including Paramount Cap, Tyson Foods and O’Sullivan Industries.

She was a talented crochet artist and created beautiful handmade items that were received as treasured gifts by her family and friends. She was an avid fan of NSCAR and adored her collection of angel figurines.
