Lamar Parents as Teachers hold petting zoo

Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger A petting zoo was held on the grounds of the Parents as Teachers Center, Cherry and 7th St., in Lamar, on Tuesday, Sept. 12, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The little ones had opportunities to interact with various animals, with this little fellow choosing to help groom a horse.

Shiloh Wilkinson, daughter of TJ and Melissa Wilkinson, is the sixth grade Lamar Middle School Student of the Week. Shiloh enjoys drawing and reading in her spare time. She plans on playing volleyball or basketball next year. Her favorite subjects are Social Studies and Reading, because both teachers make it a lot of fun while they teach.
