TEDDY DELASHMET

LAMAR- A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Hickory Grove Cemetery for Teddy Milton DeLashmet, 65, Lamar, who died Saturday evening, Oct. 28, 2017, at his home, surrounded by family, after a long battle with cancer. Military honors will be conducted.
Konantz Warden Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Jane; four daughters, Lindsay Gilmore and Brittany DeLashmet, Greenfield, Amanda Lafon, Lockwood and Jessica Madison, Lamar; nine grandchildren, Johnnie Ryan, Slaighter Cahill, Hannah Steeley, Chloe LaFon, Mason LaFon, Destiny Gillmore, Layton Gillmore, Journey Dahlman and Jona Cofield and two sisters, Camilla Rupe and Brenda Bartz, both of St. Louis.
Mr. DeLashmet was born July 18, 1952, in St. Louis, to Milton S. and Ethel (Scallion) DeLashmet. After high school he joined the U.S.Army and received many commendations, including two Bronze Stars for his service in the Vietnam Campaign. Upon his return to the states he began working on the riverboats and barges on the Mississippi River. He later became an over the road truck driver.
He married Jane Ann Wilkerson on Jan. 12, 2004.
