Lamar Democrat/Richard Cooper Barton County Retired Educators regularly bring non-perishable items to their monthly meetings in support of Nathan's Place. These supplies were brought to the November 7 meeting.

Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger The Lamar Elks Lodge No. 2800 recently donated $1,000 to the Famous Missouri Veterans Monument, to be erected at the Barton County Memorial Park, located on the corner of 2nd and Gulf, in Lamar. The monument will recognize veterans that made a significant difference while serving in the armed services.
