LOCKWOOD- Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church for Alice Margaret Schrader, 90, Lockwood, who died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017, at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home. Burial will follow in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday morning, beginning at 10 a.m.

Arrangements are under the direction of Lockwood Funeral Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Good Shepherd Nursing Home or to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Survivors include her three sons, Jerry Schrader, Lamar, William Schrader and wife Diane, Golden City and Robert Schrader and wife Nickie, Lockwood; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Schrader, Jason Schrader, Jonathan Schrader and wife Kelly, Nicholas Schrader and wife Kathleen, Gabriel Schrader, Heather Leeper and husband Nick and Jeremy Schrader; one great-grandchild, Baleigh Leeper; two sisters, Florence Sparks, Lockwood and Opal Morris, Malvern, Ark., and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emery “Codger” Schrader; a daughter-in-law, Pat Schrader and two sisters, Ruth Renfro and Edith Maize.

Mrs. Schrader was born Aug. 19, 1927, in Purdy, to Henry and Agatha (Schneider) Massmann. She was baptized at St. John’s Lutheran Church at Stone’s Prairie and was confirmed at Meinert Lutheran Church in March of 1942.

She married Emery “Codger” Schrader on Feb. 27, 1949. She had also worked as a cook for the Immanuel Lutheran School for many years. She had also worked as a seamstress and also for the hospital and the drug store. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
