CatTracks place first at home invitational

The CatTracks Invitational was held on October 28 and 29, in Carthage. The top three point scorers in each age/gender group were recognized at an awards ceremony, with the top two finishers receiving special trophies. High Point winners for CatTracks were Kaitlyn Davis (15-21 Girls High Point Runner-up), Bianca Evans (6 & Under Girls High Point Winner), Sophia Holcomb (9-10 Girls High Point Winner), Omi Kidrowski (9-10 Girls High Point Runner-up), Sarah Mueller (11-12 Girls High Point Runner-up), Ezekiel Ramirez (13-14 Boys High Point Runner-up), Mycah Beth Reed (15-21 Girls High Point Winner), Aubree Santillan (11-12 Girls High Point Winner), Meghan Watson (13-14 Girls High Point Winner) and Hunter Worrall (6 & Under Boys High Point Runner-up). In addition, Ryan Davis (11-12 Boys), James Filbeck (15-21 Boys), Reece Holcomb (6 & Under Girls), Asher Jones (8 & Under Boys) and Olivia Manning (9-10 Girls) all finished third overall in their respective age groups. Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger At the April 15 meeting of the Lamar City Council, Lamar resident Rocky McCulloch invited councilmen and the city administrator to take a tour of the pool facilities on Thursday, April 18, as Mason Banes with KC Gunite was going to do a walk through to see what repairs might entail. Several showed up to view the pools, as well as to hear possible solutions. Banes explained that he had to first find out if the damage was structural or plumbing related. Elaine McCulloch noted that hopes are to retain the outdoor lap pool and to redo the indoor pool so that it could serve as a children’s pool following the removal of the enclosure. Banes is to let the McCullochs, as well as the city, know what he would recommend and the cost it would entail.
