LAMAR- A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Strasburg Cemetery in Cass County for Ann E. Courtney, 91, Lamar, who died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2017, at Barton County Memorial Hospital. Mike Gage of the First Christian Church will officiate.

Arrangements are under the direction of Konantz Warden Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Weber, California; a son, Richard Hamilton, Kansas City, Mo.; a granddaughter, Shauna Hamilton, Blue Springs and a sister, Emma “Jo” Helms, Creighton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Courtney and a daughter, Karen Hamilton.

Mrs. Courtney was born June 26, 1926, in Lee’s Summit, to James Henry and Jeanettie Ann Clarkson. She was a longtime resident of Lamar and a member of the First Christian Church.

She had worked for J.C. Penney.
