LIBERAL- A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Liberal Lighthouse of Worship, for Cathy Jane Beard, 63, Liberal, who died Saturday, March 24, 2018, at her home in Liberal.

Assisting the family with arrangements is Konantz Warden Funeral Home, Lamar.

Survivors include her huband, David; two daughters, Starla Tomlinson, Stark City and Christy Vance, Girard, Kan.; two sons, David Beard Jr. and wife Nikki and Bradley Beard, both of Arma, Kan.; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Nancy Charles and husband Kenny, Pittsburg, Kan. and a brother, Ray Edwards and wife Aline, Branson.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Beard was born Oct. 14, 1954, in Pittsburg, Kan., to Raynard Eugene and Mary Jane (Griffitt) Edwards. She was a graduate of Pittsburg High School and also studied at Pittsburg State University. She was a homemaker and a pastor’s wife.

She married David Joseph Beard on Dec. 18, 1972.
