Yard Dawgs win championship at the Sandlot

The Yard Dawgs were 13 & Under tournament champions at the Sandlot on May 19. The road to the championship included victories over the Miller Cardinals 8-0, the MO Naturals 4-2 and the Panthers 11-0. Pictured, left to right, are: (front row) Ryan Davis, Matt Boehne, Cameron Peak, Jonah Sparks and Eric Briggs; (back row) Payton Morrow, Damien Woods, Cooper Hamblin, Austin Wilkerson and Nate Smith. The Yard Dawgs are coached by Jason Clemensen and Chris Morrow.

Lamar Tigers dominate Jasper
The SW Select basketball team ended their season by winning the Kansas State Championship with a record of 21-1 in three tournaments, plus Kansas State. Sixth grade girls earn Kansas State Championship
Gunner Miller, son of Sharron Miller, is the sixth grade Lamar Middle School Student of the Week. Gunner plays baseball and likes playing video games in his spare time. His favorite subject is Math.

The material for the screen will be installed late next week and hopefully, after some tweaking, the Barco will open May 3.
