LAMAR- A private graveside service at Pippenger Cemetery was held for Roberta Manka, 75, Lamar, who died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2018, at Joplin Mercy Hospital.

Arrangements were under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home.

Survivors include her husband, James Manka, of the home; two sons, Anthony Leon Swope, Independence and Edward Swope, Winfred, S.D.; two daughters, Roberta Lynn Manka Mare, Golden City and Viola Leo, Golden City; two brothers, William Henry Brockert and Clarence Hamilton Brockert; three sisters, Patricia Akin, Sarah Campbell and Velma Goetz; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Hurrell and a son, Glenn Swope.

Mrs. Manka was born Dec. 8, 1942, in Wakenda, to Edward Olen Clyde and Ida Martha (DeLuce) Brockert. She was a homemaker and had attended the Church of Christ and Assembly of God Church.

She married James K. Manka on March 21, 2002, in Miami, Okla.
