Lamar Democrat/Richard Cooper Mayor Kent Harris received a grant from MIRMA to purchase equipment for the city's electric department. The grant for $1,980 will be used to reduce or eliminate injuries to city workers. A plaque signifying the grant was presented by MIRMA representative Kelly Beets. MIRMA is a self-insurance pool, owned by municipalities, of whom Lamar is a member.
