SPRINGFIELD-Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Greenlawn Funeral Home North in Springfield for Betty Belle Frogley, 94, who died Saturday, July 25, 2015, after a day surrounded by family. She passed peacefully in the night with her son and daughter-in-law holding her hands.

Survivors include a brother, Larry Johnson; a son, Jack L. Frogley and wife Traci; daughter-in-law, Kathy Chaffin; grandchildren, Tyler Frogley and wife Jennifer, Kristen Frogley, Elijah Frogley and wife Kaylee, Anastasia Frogley and Logan Chaffin, as well as two great-grandchildren and one on the way. She also leaves several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Frogley; a son, John Frogley and three brothers, John, Joe and Ed Johnson.

Mrs. Frogley was born Aug. 12, 1920, to Floyd and Belle Johnson. While on earth she touched countless lives with her sweet smile and selfless nature. She will be missed, but only for a brief time until her family and friends join her in Heaven.

Lamar Democrat/Nadine Pattison Picnic in the Park drew several despite the rainy and stormy weather that was experienced throughout the day. Several food trucks were available to offer a wide variety of choices to those stopping by to dine. Menus from the various food trucks were listed on the Lamar City Park facebook page, along with their phone number to call for easy access. The next Picnic in the Park will be held Thursday, May 23, for both lunch and dinner, at the Lamar City Park.

Treycen Coy, son of Matthew Coy and Angie Coy, is the sixth grade Lamar Middle School Student of the Week. In his spare time Treycen likes to play football, eat, play with his brothers and sisters in his yard and mow the lawn. His favorite college team is the Oklahoma Sooners and his favorite NFL team is the Kansas City Chiefs.
