Sunshine Senior Friends of Liberal will meet at 12 noon on Friday, Dec. 7, at the community building in Liberal, for their Christmas dinner. Ham is on the menu for this dinner and those attending may bring a covered dish. For entertainment Christmas songs will be played and sung. Come and join them for this dinner.

Scarlette Pratt, daughter of Louis Pratt and Ashley Pratt, is the sixth grade Lamar Middle School Student of the Week. Scarlette enjoys playing softball and participating in archery and cheerleading. She loves her family and all her pets.

Photos courtesy of Kristy Robertson The Truman Day Dog Show was held Saturday, May 4, with categories of 10 pounds or less, 11-30 pounds and 30 plus pounds. Several dogs competed for the top prize. The first place winner in the 10 pound or less category was (first picture) Goldie, owned by Ayla Van DaGriff, Oronogo; (second picture) Buddy, owned by Hailee Haggard of Lamar, took first place in the 11-30 pound category and (third picture) Marley, owned by Hunter Thomason, Lamar, took first place in the 30 plus pound category.
