LAMAR- A celebration of life will be held Thursday at Memorial Hall in Lamar for Susan Dean David, 60, Lamar, who died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2019, in Crete, Neb., where she was visiting family for the holidays.

Arrangements are under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home.

Survivors include a son, James Keziah, North Carolina; two daughters, Carolyn Boyles, North Carolina and Victoria Pilcher and husband David, Lamar; two brothers, Steve Bland and wife Tara, Mindenmines and Carl Bland, Enid, Okla.; three sisters, Linda Kinnley, North Carolina and Brenda Farmer and Connie Bennett, both of Warrensburg and 11 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father.

Mrs. David was born March 28, 1958, in Trenton, to Jerome Dean “Jerry” Bland and Carolyn (Butler) Brand. She had worked as head cook and as a waitress at Judy’s in Jasper for over 18 years. She loved going to the casino, playing Yahtzee and other family games and watching new movies. She spoke several languages, having been reared in a military family and having lived in several countries including France, Germany and Vietnam.
