It was a day for the “Birds” at the Happy and Mary Curless Library in Liberal. 4-H and community youth gathered after school to learn more about birds, identifying what is in one’s backyard, where they nest and what they like to eat. The youth ended the afternoon by making bird feeders to help the birds to survive in these cold months ahead. Join them for the next educational session February 5; the youth gather after school from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., at the library.
