LBT is a proud supporter of Lamar Project Graduation. Project Graduation is a program offered by many high schools in the United States, in which organized, adult-supervised and alcohol-free activities are offered as part of a post-graduation party, as an alternative to student-run events that might involve alcoholic beverages or drugs. Students are checked for illicit substances before entry and are carefully monitored. Lamar senior class students sold Dash for Cash tickets at home football games, where the recipients dash for cash and LBT Tiger Pride debit cards. The student dashing for cash keeps the money collected and if they gather up all five LBT Tiger Pride debit cards, they are entered in a drawing for $100 cash at the end of the season.

Shiloh Wilkinson, daughter of TJ and Melissa Wilkinson, is the sixth grade Lamar Middle School Student of the Week. Shiloh enjoys drawing and reading in her spare time. She plans on playing volleyball or basketball next year. Her favorite subjects are Social Studies and Reading, because both teachers make it a lot of fun while they teach.
