MANASSA, Colo.- The family has chosen cremation and a private family service will be held at a later date for Starla Rene Miller, 56, who died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2019, in her home in Manassa.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rogers Family Mortuary in Alamosa.

Survivors include her parents, Berne and Helen Jones, Lamar, Mo.; her husband, Ed Miller, Manassa; a son, Dustin Jones, Fresno, Calif.; two granddaughters and a grandson; one sister, Holly Jones and a niece, Mallory Schratt.

Mrs. Miller was born Nov. 28, 1962, in Denver, Colo., to Berne and Helen Jones. She married Ed Miller on September 13, 2005.

Mrs. Miller attended Trinidad State College, where she received a business degree. She spent her down time tending to her dogs and creating jewelry. She will be remembered as a wonderful mother, who was dedicated to her son and a cherished daughter.
