The Lamar High School Girls 200 yard freestyle relay won the “B” Consolation Final, finishing seventh overall and setting a new school record of 1:48.62, at Southwest Missouri Championships in Springfield on Saturday, Feb. 2. The same relay team also cut four seconds in the 400 yard freestyle relay, taking third in the “B” Consolation Final and finishing ninth overall with a time of 4:00.76. Lamar Tigers dominate Jasper
Treycen Coy, son of Matthew Coy and Angie Coy, is the sixth grade Lamar Middle School Student of the Week. In his spare time Treycen likes to play football, eat, play with his brothers and sisters in his yard and mow the lawn. His favorite college team is the Oklahoma Sooners and his favorite NFL team is the Kansas City Chiefs.
