HAROLD WELBORN

CENTRALIA- A celebration of life will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, at Fenton Funeral Chapel for Harold Welborn, 87, Centralia, who died peacefully on Thursday, March 14, 2019, in Centralia.

Memorial donations are suggested to the First Christian Church in Centralia, in care of the funeral home, 104 S. Collier, Centralia, MO 65240.

Survivors include his wife, Jane; his children, Denise Hatfield and husband Larry, Centralia, Marc Welborn and wife Mary, St. Albans, Janet Schnell and husband David, Middle Grove, Joao Custodia and wife Judith, Lima, Peru, Julie England, Kansas City, Tad England, Centralia and Tim England, Long Beach, Calif.; grandchildren, Michele Kuntz and husband Mark, Dakota Welborn and wife Kelly, Dustin Welborn and wife Sarah, Andrew Welborn and wife Eliza, Lauren McClimans and husband Jason, Christopher Hatfield and wife Lindsey, Haley England and Jayce England; 13 great-grandchildren and siblings, Janice Bowlin and husband Bill, Tulsa, Okla. and Bill Welborn and wife Glenda, Clinton.

Mr. Welborn was born July 10, 1931, in Mt. Ayr, Iowa, to Lonnie and Ruth (Stacy) Welborn. He married Jane Peacock England on July 21, 1979, in Centralia.

Mr. Welborn was employed by Hubbell Power Systems, 1966 to 1995; was a U.S. Army National Guard veteran; a member of Abou Ben Shriner; a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge No. 292 in Lamar; a member of the First Christian Church of Centralia and an avid outdoorsman his entire life.
