The city benefits by donation from City Township. An unbudgeted $30,000 was turned over to the city at the March 18 meeting of the council by Trustee/Treasurer Bonda Rawlings. However, the donation must be formally entered into the township budget, April 8, at which time an agreement will be signed specifying how it will be spent. The fire department will receive $22,000, the installation of a handicapped accessible bathroom at Memorial Hall will benefit by $5,000, and $3,000 will go toward maintenance of Memorial Hall. The city gratefully accepted the donation. From left, Assistant Fire Chief Rick Heinen, Bonda Rawlings, and Mayor Kent Harris.
