LAMAR- A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada, Mo., for Maria Elaina Arthur, 64, Lamar, who died Sunday, June 23, 2019, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.

Survivors include one son, John Crowl and wife Cassie, Lamar; three granddaughters, Patricia LaFever, Lamar, Abbi Brown and husband Bobby, Branson and Thelma Crowl, of the home in Lamar; two great-grandchildren, Luthen and Rebecca; one brother, Frank Herman, Nevada; four sisters, Virginia Cooper, Nevada, Carla Day and husband Scott, Liberal, Janet Bainard, Liberal and Donna Warren and husband Rick, Nevada, Mo. and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Greg.

Mrs. Arthur was born April 10, 1955, in Wichita, Kan., to Donald F. and Angelina Marie (Nunez) Herman. She was married to Greg Arthur and he preceded her in death.

Mrs. Arthur was reared in Nevada and also in Wenatchee, Wash., where she attended high school. Most of her life she worked with her husband as secretary and bookkeeper in the family tax preparation business in Nevada, Mo. She attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church for many years. She enjoyed crocheting and being with her family, especially her granddaughters.
