The Lamar TigerSharks hosted their home meet at the Lamar Aquatic Park on June 15 and 16. Twelve teams from across the Tri-State Conference participated in the swim competition. The host team won the Second Place Team Trophy. High Point Trophy winners for the TigerSharks included Kai Lilienkamp (6 & Under Boys), second place overall; Cameron Bailey (13-14 Boys), third place overall; Zane Reavley (15-18 Boys), first place overall; Meghan Watson (15-18 Girls), second place overall and Kaitlyn Davis (15-18 Girls), third place overall.

Lamar Tigers dominate Jasper
The SW Select basketball team ended their season by winning the Kansas State Championship with a record of 21-1 in three tournaments, plus Kansas State. Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger A total of $3600 was raised at the car and jeep show held Saturday, April 13, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the Lamar Christian Church Parking lot, with proceeds to benefit the new Barco Drive-In screen tower. Pictured are, left to right, Lamar Bank & Trust President Pat O’Neal, Barco Drive-In Theatre fundraiser director Landin Myers and representing the Plaza/Barco and Lamar Community Betterment, Scott Kelley.
