LAMAR-A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lamar Family Ministries Center for Mildred Louise Smith, 73, Lamar, who died early Saturday morning, Aug. 29, 2015, at Truman Healthcare Center. Pastor Bob Petersen will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Larry Smith, of the home; four sons and their wives, Michael and April McIntosh, Salina, Ohio, Glen and Rhonda Smith, Lamar, James and Kathy Smith, Raytown and Jason and April Smith, Coffeyville, Kan.; two sisters, Jackie Neely, Kansas City, Mo. and Mary Inez Ryals, Independence; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and a larger extended family.
She was preceded in death by three sisters.
Mrs. Smith was born Sept. 7, 1941, at Warrior, Ala., to Lindsey and Mary (Doss) Crane. She married Larry C. Smith on Jan. 18, 1964, at Kansas City, Mo. They made their home in Kansas City until moving to Lamar in 2002. In addition to being a pastor's wife and dedicated homemaker, she had owned and operated a housekeeping business. She was a devoted wife and mother, who especially cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
