GOLDEN EULALA MOORE COOK

GOLDEN CITY- Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First Christian Church in Golden City for Golden Eulala (DePee) Moore Cook, 97, Golden City, who died Thursday, Nov. 7, 2019. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 10 a.m.

Arrangements are under the direction of Greenfield Funeral Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church of Golden City.

Survivors include three children, Saundra Norman, Springfield, Cecil Moore and wife Jean, Golden City and Vicki Keatts and husband Max, Greenfield; 11 grandchildren, Gwen Gilbert, Greg McGuire, Zach McGuire, Becky McGuire, Trudy Buchanan, Angela Demshar, Stephanie Patterson, Chad Moore, Travis Moore, Scott Keatts and Jana Cooper; 25 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren and one on the way and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence DePee and Clarence DePee; one daughter, Anna Faye McGuire and one grandson, Steven Patterson.

Mrs. Cook was born April 21, 1922, in Cedar County, to Raymond and Eula Pearl (Hayward) DePee. She married William Moore on Nov. 29, 1936 and he preceded her in death. She married Joe Cook on Feb. 5, 1985 and he preceded her in death.

She had worked at various businesses in the surrounding area, retiring in 1985. She was a woman of God and a member of the First Christian Church of Golden City since 1948. She loved reading her Bible, enjoyed cooking, embroidery and playing cards with friends.
