JAMES A. CARR
LAMAR- A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Greenfield Cemetery in Jerico Springs for James A. Carr, 84, Lamar, who died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2020, at Truman Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Arrangements are under the direction of Greenfield Funeral Chapel.

Survivors include his wife Mary and son, John R. Carr, Lamar and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, W.M. Carr and Bennie Carr and sisters, Dora Carr and Novella Carr Tanner.
Mr. Carr was born Sept. 18, 1935, in Alicia, Ark., to Bennie Alden Carr and Emmer Sarah Dunn. He worked for a combined 30 years at Springfield and Lamar schools. He was married to Mary Week Carr for 51 years.
He loved the outdoors and spent many years making a big garden, hunting and walking his land. He was saved and baptized.
