LAMAR- Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, at Milford Christian Church, for Louise Fern (Jensen) Jones, 84, who died Sunday, Jan. 12, 2020, following a brief illness. Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 1 p.m. A reception for fellowship and snacks will follow the service.

A private committal will be held in Clearwater, Minn. at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Konantz Warden Funeral Home, Lamar.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, James Jones; a daughter, Beverly Lacy and husband David; grandchildren, Amanda Kilbane and husband Colin, Jeffrey Lacy and Ben Riggs and Brentley Jones and wife Nicole; a sister, Ruth Carlson; two sisters-in-law, Carol Jensen and Loretta Laman and husband Charles; a cousin, Gladys Miller and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Barry Jones and seven siblings, Arthur Jensen, Dorothy Hanson, Doris Closson, Alice Laughton, Roy Jensen, Ann Larson and George Jensen.

Mrs. Jones was born Sept. 16, 1935, in Parkers Prairie, Minn., to William Christian Jensen and Olive Amanda Konkle. She married James Jones Jr. on July 24, 1954, in Eagle Bend, Minn. For 22 years they co-owned and operated B & J Lighting in Clearwater, Minn. Upon retirement they relocated to Missouri, where she was very active in the Milford Christian Church, and where she made many friends.

She loved to travel, play the piano and organ, play cards and spend time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
