Ukrainian foreign exchange student speaks at Rotary

Lamar Democrat/Melissa Little Khrystyna Dmytryshyn, a foreign exchange student from Ukraine that is currently a senior at Lamar High School, spoke to those present at the January 21 meeting of the Lamar Rotary Club. She spoke of her country’s customs, landscape, government, transportation and education systems, culinary delights and various holidays. A very informative and entertaining question and answer period followed her presentation.

The monument will recognize veterans that made a significant difference while serving in the armed services.
