Golden City squares off with Liberal for third

Two Barton County foes met for third place in the Tony Dubray Tournament Saturday. Liberal, the host, upset Bronaugh in the first round in a five over four victory. They then dropped a narrow contest to top-seeded Galena. Golden City, the two seed, knocked off Northeast Vernon County in the opening round, but fell to Colgan in the semifinal.
