LORETTA PENNER

LAMAR- A visitation will be held at 12 noon on Friday, at Daniel Funeral Home for Loretta Louise (Bemboom) Penner, 75, Lamar, who died Monday, Feb. 24, 2020, at her home. A graveside service at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Lamar will follow at 1 p.m.

Survivors include her children, Victoria Raines, Poplar Bluff, Robin Stewart and husband Bryan, Bronson, Kan. and Mary McWilliams, Lamar. She also had those who called her grandma, Patrick, Alexandria, Logan and Miranda (Vicky’s crew), John and Emily (Robin’s crew) and Libby, Rachel and Michael (Mary’s crew) and was blessed with the name of Granny by seven great-grandchildren. She also had a baby brother, Francis Bemboom, Marshall.
She was preceded in death by her son, Robert “Bobby” Raines; daughter, Maxine Grayson; grandson, Shaun Raines; son-in-law, Thomas McWilliams; and brothers, Charles Bemboom and bride Dortha Lorene Boten and Herbet Bemboom.
Mrs. Penner was born June 1, 1944, to John and Antionette (Distler) Bemboom. She was born and reared in Jefferson City. She started and reared a family of five in various parts of Missouri until finally settling in Lamar and had been a resident for the past 40 plus years. She worked rearing her family with different jobs including cook, waitress, store clerk and farmer. The job that she loved the most was being a mom and taking care of her family, close and far away.
