LOCKWOOD- Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Maple Grove Cemetery for Lennis Allen Queen, 66, Lockwood, who died Saturday, March 7, 2020.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8. p.m. Tuesday, at the Lockwood Christian Church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Lockwood Funeral Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to Maple Grove Cemetery or to the Lockwood Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Queen; three children, Tara Carrier and husband Harry, Tana Foster and husband Mike and Daniel Queen and wife Leah; his mother, Leota Queen; his mother-in-law, Leona Weimer Selvey; his brother, Mike Queen and wife Lesa; two brothers-in-law, Rick Weimer and wife Janice and Randy Weimer and wife Dixie; one sister-in-law, Debbie Perkins and husband Randy; 12 grandchildren, Eric Carrier and wife Kali, Troy Carrier, Christian Foster, Noble Foster, Grace Carrier, Gaege Queen, Damien Jordan, Emma Bronson, Camryn Foster, Haiden Queen, Page Beerly and Lauryn Queen; three great-grandchildren, Hailey Carrier, Lincoln Carrier and Ashton Tripp and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Queen and his father-in-law, Danny Weimer.

Mr. Queen was born Dec. 7, 1953, in Lamar, to Albert and Leota (Sorden) Queen. He was a graduate of Lockwood High School. He married Cheryl Kay Weimer on June 2, 1972, in Lockwood.

He worked throughout his life as a carpenter and had also worked for Collins Electric, Ag Service and Meeks. He owned and operated Queen Construction along with his son. He was a member of the Lockwood Christian Church, where he helped to design and construct the new church. He volunteered his knowledge and time for community events. He was proud to serve as the Boy Scouts leader for over 30 years.
