Presidential Preference Primary winners for Barton/Dade counties

With less than 20 percent of registered voters turning out in the eight precincts in Barton County, along with those voting absentee ballot, Republican party candidate Donald J. Trump won convincingly with a total of 1286 votes. Democrat candidates in Barton County were led by Joseph R. Biden with 241, followed by Bernie Sanders with 146.

While others received votes, they were too minimal to note, with many of the candidates already having dropped out of the race.

With 100 percent of Barton County reporting, Trump garnered 98.5 percent of the Republican vote, with Biden receiving 57.2 percent and Sanders, 34.7 percent on the Democratic party ticket.

In Dade County, with 22.62 percent of the voters turning out, Republican candidate Donald Trump had a total of 883 votes and on the Democrat side, Joseph R. Biden led with 263 votes and Bernie Sanders followed with 97. Out of the total ballots in Dade County, 70.20 percent of the votes were for a Republican candidate with a total of 900 and the Democratic candidates totaled 381, or 29.72 percent of the vote. There are nine precincts in Dade County.

On the Republican party ticket, Trump garnered 98.1 percent of the votes in Dade County, with Biden receiving 69 percent and Sanders receiving 25.5 percent on the Democratic party side.
