Information regarding Liberal R-2 School District

LIBERAL- The Liberal R-2 School District has been in direct consultation with the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) and the governor’s office on updated information regarding the cancelation of school during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

The school is currently closed through Friday, April 3, with a decision to be made later if more time off is needed.

During the school closure, the district will continue to provide breakfast and lunch on a Monday through Friday basis to those students who request it. These meals are provided by OPAA! Food Service Management and are delivered to the students’ residences by various staff members. These services will continue throughout the remainder of the school closure.

Liberal R-2 continues to monitor the situation and explore options for providing educational opportunities to the students if an extension to this closure is required.
