CatTracks swim team reclaims title at Heartland swim championships

Head Coach Lyman Burr and the CatTracks swim team won their sixth team title at Heartland West Regional Championships during March 13-15 in Monett. The team had first place finishes in 37 individual events and 13 relay events. Six members of the Lamar TigerSharks program competed on the CatTracks Regional Championship Team: Cameron Bailey, 13-14 Boys; Graham Davis, 7-8 Boys; Alix Davis, 11-12 Girls; Kaitlyn Davis, 15-21 Girls; Ryan Davis, 13-14 Boys and Meghan Watson, 15-21 Girls. Cameron claimed victories in three individual events. Graham placed in all of his events and medaled in both of his relays. Alix earned seven medals, along with big cuts in time. Ryan and Kaitlyn each received the High Point Runner-up Trophy for their respective age groups, while Meghan won the High Point Trophy. Cameron and Ryan earned gold medals in all four of their relay events for 13-14 Boys. In the senior Girls division, Kaitlyn and Meghan placed first in all four of their relays, along with new Regional and Pool records in the 400 yard medley relay.
