EARL FRAYER
MINDENMINES-A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Shiloh Cemetery, north of Liberal, for Earl Ezra Frayer, 79, Mindenmines, who died unexpectedly Friday evening, Sept. 11, 2015, at his home. Full military honors will be conducted.
Arrangements are under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home, Lamar.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Survivors include a son, Ken Frayer and wife Lisa B., Mindenmines; two daughters, Janet Hula and husband Rodney, and Lisa A. Frayer, all of Pittsburg, Kan.; the mother of his children, Norma Frayer Showalter; five brothers, Ernie, Leon, Oravel, Gene and Nobel Frayer; three sisters, Agnes Andrew, Helen Richter and Alyce Frayer; four grandchildren, Chad Thompson and wife Stacey, Rachelle Connally and husband Jon, Mike Hula and Jacob Frayer and Kelli Lawrence and four great-grandchildren, Brian Talieson Frayer, Conner Philip Frayer, Ezria Lynn Thompson and Vivian Lee Thompson.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Floyd Frayer.
Mr. Frayer was born Aug. 22, 1936, along with his twin brother Ernie, in Evergreen, Wisc., the first of 11 children of Ernest and Marie (West) Frayer. Enlisting in the U.S. Army November 5, 1955, he served in an infantry/tank division in Illinois, Germany and France. Returning home in March of 1958 he began a 20 year career in long distance trucking. He owned and operated his own truck and was an excellent diesel mechanic. He had also worked for the Crawford County Highway Department for five years, before retiring to do part-time lawn care around Mindenmines. He contributed time and effort to his community, serving for many years as an alderman and volunteer firefighter.
He married Mary Lou Main on Jan. 9, 1989, at Mindenmines. She died July 10, 2011.
