DOROTHY “DOTTIE” LEE YOUNG

LAMAR- A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, at St. Mary’s Cemetery for Dorothy “Dottie” Lee Young, 78, who died Monday, April 6, 2020, at Truman Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Arrangements were under the direction of Konantz Warden Funeral Home.

Survivors include James “Jim” Young and wife Hazel, Lamar and Terri Lynn (Young) Jones and husband Mike, Lamar; four grandchildren, Melissa Colon and husband Jose, Mesquite, Texas, James Young and wife Tiffany, Lamar, Randy Schlichting and Matt, Lamar and Dusty Schlichting, Lamar and seven great-grandchildren.

She married Floyd Lee Young on Sept. 19, 1959. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. Young worked for several years at Truman Healthcare as a housekeeper, retiring in 2000. Her family was her pride and joy. She especially loved animals, more specifically her favorite companion, Lola.
