LADEAN LAWRENCE

LAMAR- A private family graveside service will be held at Lake Cemetery for Margaret LaDean “Deana” (Coffey) Lawrence, 93, Lamar, who died Tuesday, April 14, 2020, at Cox Barton County Hospital, with her loving family by her side.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home.
Contribution are suggested and made payable to Iantha Cemetery or Lake Cemetery, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include two sons, John Lawrence and wife Karen, Lamar and Harel Lawrence, Lamar; two daughters, Nancy Wimer McCall and husband Kenny, Lamar and Sharon Wimer Higgins and husband Earl, Joplin; 11 grandchildren, Kailey, David, Jason, Katie, Barry, Aaron, Leslie, Kurt, Leigh Ann, Rebecca and Eric; 28 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Sue Wolf, Scottsboro, Ala. and a brother, Earl Coffey, Silverton, Ore.
She was preceded in death by one son, Larry Wimer in 2010 and a sister, Merlene “Mert” Sherron in 2003.
Mrs. Lawrence was born June 25, 1926, in Liberal, to Edward and Moscylene (Peal) Coffey. She attended Liberal High School. She married Roy J. Wimer in 1942 and they had three children. He preceded her in death in 1958.
She later met Harel Linard Lawrence and they were married in 1960 and celebrated 40 years together, making their home in rural Lamar, where they farmed for many years. They had two children together. He preceded her in death on July 1, 2000.
Mrs. Lawrence was a homemaker and longtime resident of Lamar. In her younger years she worked at Big Smith, Lamar Super Market and waitressing. She was a loving mother and grandmother and loved to cook and bake for family and friends, especially her pies. She enjoyed gardening, helping out at harvest time and mowing her lawn for many years on her John Deere tractor. Her greatest joy in life was the time she spent with granddad Linard, her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, along with helping others in the community. She was a member of Lamar First Baptist Church,
