LITA J. BOOTS HUDSPETH

LOCKWOOD-Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Lockwood First Baptist Church for Lita J. Boots Hudspeth, 88, Lockwood, who died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015, at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home. Burial will follow in Pennsboro Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Lockwood Funeral Chapel.

Friends may call at their convenience on Friday from 12 noon to 6 p.m., at the funeral home chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lockwood American Legion Roy E. Carr Post No. 372 Auxiliary, the Good Shepherd Nursing Home Activity Department or to the donor's choice.

Survivors include a son, Troy Hudspeth and wife Valerie, Lockwood; a daughter, Linda Heilman and husband Paul, Duncan, Okla.; seven grandchildren, Maria Spoering and husband Ryan, Marcus Heilman and wife Jerri, Adam Heilman and wife Amber, Andrew Hudspeth, Jason Hudspeth, Jarica Oeltjen and husband Phillip and Brooke Hudspeth; six great-grandchildren and one on the way; two sisters-in-law, Daythel Anderson, Greenfield and Frances Hudspeth, South Greenfield and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by five brothers, Lloyd Bus Anderson, David Anderson, Troy Anderson, Billy Anderson and Bobby Anderson.

Mrs. Hudspeth was born March 18, 1927, in Greenfield, to Lloyd L. and Emma E. (Bennett) Anderson. She was a member of the Lockwood First Baptist Church and the American Legion Roy E. Carr Post No. 372 Auxiliary. She enjoyed quilting, playing cards and working puzzles.

She married Earl Dean Hudspeth on Oct. 30, 1949, in Lockwood, at the Kings Point Baptist Church. He preceded her in death.
