LAMAR- Services will be held at a later date for Russell Wayne Cobb, 62, Lamar, who died suddenly on Friday, May 1, 2020.

Arrangements are under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Laurie (McHenry) Cobbs; two daughters, Lisa (Cobb) Randazzo, Warrenton and Chasity McHenry, Golden City; a son, Jason Cobb, Lamar; eight grandchildren, Candace, Patrick, Johnathan, Blaise, Jewelyana, Angel, Onyx and Serenity; three great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Kayden and Audree; three brothers, Donald Cobb, Warrenton, Jerry Cobb, Lamar and Robert Baker, Mound City; one sister, Debra (Baker) Bikus, Joplin and a large extended family, as well as his loyal dog, Millie.

He was preceded in death by his father, Chester Cobb; his mother, Sally (McKenzie) Burkhardt; his stepfather, Ralph Burkhardt; a brother, Timothy Cobb and a sister, Victoria (Baker) Donnelly.

Mr. Cobb was born May 6, 1957, in St. Louis, to Chester Cobb and Sally (McKenzie) Burkhardt. In 1976 he graduated high school in Warrenton, then went on to become a U.S. Marine. He married Laurie (McHenry) Cobb on Dec. 6, 1980, then moved with his family to Lamar. He was a long time employee of the Tire Lube Express at Walmart until he retired in 2016. He and his wife have lived in Golden City for the last couple of years.

He pursued a variety of hobbies and interests, including playing the guitar, computers and electronics, remote controlled model airplanes, clock making, 3D printing, creating a vegetable garden each year and spending time with his grandchildren.
