BEULAH HEMPHILL

LAMAR- A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Memory Gardens for Beaulah Marie Hemphill, 94, Lamar, who died Saturday, May 9, 2020, at Truman Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Lamar.

Arrangements are under the direction of Konantz Warden Funeral Home.

Survivors include her daughters, Barbara Lee, Lamar and Betty Lewis, Ft. Worth, Texas; a sister, Blanch Tracy; 17 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Bruce Hemphill and Clifford Hemphill and two brothers, Howard Slates and Jack Slates.

Mrs. Hemphill was born Dec. 7, 1925, in Milo, to Roy and Gladys (Harper) Slates. She spent most of her life in Barton County. She married Emmett Hemphill on Dec. 12, 1940. She worked for Barton County Memorial Hospital and Truman Healthcare until retiring in 1970.
