Besendorfer signs to play baseball at McKendree University

Golden City High School senior Talon Besendorfer recently signed a letter of commitment to play baseball for McKendree University in Lebanon, Ill. Talon is the son of Chanel and Lance Besendorfer.

Sixth grade girls earn Kansas State Championship
Lockwood High School cheerleaders Kalsee Garoutte, Rachel Baugh and Mekenzi Weimer recently received Academic All-State honors. To receive Academic All-State for cheer, one must be a varsity cheerleader, have an unweighted GPA of at least 3.5, be in the top 20 percent of their class and be a current senior, junior or sophomore.
