LORENE E. HARDY

LIBERAL- Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, at Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar for Lorene E. Hardy, 93, Liberal, who died Sunday, May 10, 2020, at Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg, Kan. Burial will be in Liberal City Cemetery.
Contributions are suggested and made payable to Gideons International in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include three children and their spouses, Greg and Karen Hardy, Liberal, Randy and Dixie Hardy, Joplin and Jeremy and Ray Hinkle, Halfway; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by seven brothers and four sisters.
Mrs. Hardy was born October 1, 1926, in Orlando, Okla., to William Henry Grant and Josephine Conard (Herbert) Grant. She graduated high school in Orlando, Okla. On January 05, 1947, she married Norman Lee Roy Hardy in Orlando, Okla. and together they reared three children.
Mrs. Hardy was a homemaker and loved the farm just as much as her husband did. She was an excellent seamstress, sewing her own family's clothes, sewing for other people, making alterations, patching her husband’s overalls and jeans and creating draperies and wedding dresses. She had worked at Heim's Hatchery from 1955 to 1963. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Liberal for many years and had attended the Church of the Nazarene in Lamar for many years, where she taught Sunday school.
