Lamar’s 1st Cruise Night of 2020, held June 5 on the historic Lamar square, was deemed a success. Despite the torrid evening, a large group of both spectators and participants were on hand to enjoy the large array of colorful cars, along with dinner served by the sponsor of the event, the Lamar Fire Department. Also present to the enjoyment of those attending was The Shiver Shack, along with The Goldies, a two man “garage band” consisting of Quintin Webb and Blaine Fast. The Top 10 winners, along with their homemade trophies are pictured, back row, left to right, Bill Baker, Earl McCulley, Steve Goodman, Harvey Fry, Eric Jeffries, Stead Blanchard, Chuck Espeland, Chris Lewis and Stephen Lasiter, along with event coordinators, front row, left to right, Gordie Godfrey, Bill Nixon and Patricia Nixon.
