Bridge replacement of the Hwy. 160 bridge over the Burlington Northern/Santa Fe Railroad, west of Lamar, is nearing completion. The original bridge was erected in 1939 and was a 24-foot wide bridge. The new bridge was widened to 43-feet in order to accommodate two 12-foot driving lanes, two eight-foot wide shoulders with barrier curb and fencing on both sides. The new bridge was also raised an additional three feet over the railroad tracks.
