SHIRLEY ANN MCINTYRE

LOCKWOOD- A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, at Pippenger Cemetery in Lockwood, for Shirley Ann McIntyre, 87, Lockwood, who died Monday, July 6, 2020, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
Arrangements are under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home, Lamar.
Contributions are suggested and made payable to the Alzheimer's Association, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include a son Kenneth McIntyre and wife Carol, Lockwood; two sisters, Ruthy Hendrickson and husband Rod, Carthage and Leona Troop, Kansas City, Mo.; six grandchildren, Dexter McIntyre and wife Christy, Morrisville, Reginald McIntyre and wife Shelly, Willard, Justin McIntyre and wife Crystal, Lockwood, Quinten McIntyre and wife Marti, Leedey, Okla., Kristie Kent, Holden and Stephen Kent, Kansas City, Mo. and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane McIntyre; a daughter, Sharon Kent and three brothers, Lloyd, Leonard and Gene Walker.
Mrs. McIntyre was born October 6, 1932, in rural Barton County, to Rosco and Nellie Walker. She married Duane Eugene McIntyre and together they raised two children. She was a homemaker and had worked at O'Sullivan Industries in Lamar and Cooky's Cafe in Golden City. She enjoyed knitting and gathering with the ladies at the Lockwood First Baptist Church to make quilts, where she was a member.
