COVID-19 alert

The following alert was posted by the Barton County Health Department:

If you were in the Memorial Hall on August 27, 2020 between the hours of 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., you may have come in contact with an undiagnosed COVID-19 case. Your risk of contracting COVID-19 is very low, however you should monitor for the following symptoms through September 10, 2020:

Fever, more than 100.4 or feeling feverish; chills; rigors; muscle aches; runny nose; sore throat; new changes in taste or smell; headache; fatigue; cough, new or worsening of chronic cough; wheezing; shortness of breath or difficulty breathing; chest pain; nausea or vomiting; abdominal pain; diarrhea (more than three loose stools in a 24 hour period and other symptoms that concern you.

If you have any of the following signs, get emergency medical care immediately: Trouble breathing, persistent pain or pressure in the chest, new confusion, inability to wake or stay awake, bluish lips or face.

This list is not all possible symptoms. Please call your healthcare provider for any other symptoms that are severe or concerning to you.
