RUBY HAILE

LAMAR- A graveside service will be held at 2 pm.. Friday at Leann Cemetery in Aurora for Ruby Alice (Freeman) Haile, 90, rural Lamar, who died at her home on Sunday, Aug. 30, 2020.
Arrangements are under the direction of Konantz Warden Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Leanne Cemetery in Aurora.

Survivors include her daughter, Gayla Charlton and husband Gary, Liberal; a brother, Melvin “Kenny” Freeman, Purdy; a sister-in-law, Abilee Freeman, Marionville; grandchildren, Erica Little, Nixa, Dustin Charlton and wife Caroline, Carterville and Hollie Estes and husband Kyle, Ozark; great-grandchildren, Natasha Little, Nixa and Shay Olabiyi, Carterville; stepchildren, Robert “Bobby” Haile and wife Yvonne, Marilyn Hurst, LuAnn Lock and husband Brent, all of Lamar and Ruth Barry and husband Joe, Omaha, Neb. and many step-grand and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert; a daughter, Marilyn Kay Kelley and 11 siblings, Jimmy, Grady, Eugene, Estol, Eddie, Cleo, Dorothy, Julie, Ruth, Dallas and Jewel.
Mrs. Haile was born April 4, 1930, in Barry County, to Charles and Martha (Taylor) Freeman. She grew up near Aurora. As a young adult she worked as a seamstress in a garment factory in Reeds Springs for several years. She married Claston Junior Kelley in 1959 and they had two daughters. That marriage ended in divorce in 1967 and she later moved to Lamar, where she married Robert Haile on Aug. 15, 1975. There she continued life as a seamstress and homemaker for the next 35 years until his death in 2010.
She loved the simpler things of life, enjoying nature, fishing, crocheting, reading, listening to gospel music and spending time with her family who she loved dearly. She was a devoted loving wife, a wonderful mother and grandmother, kind-hearted and a woman of integrity.
