LAMAR- Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Memory Gardens Cemetery for Linda Sue Zaerr, 71, Lamar, who died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2020, at Cox Barton County Hospital.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Rawlings, Loyd Rawlings, John Davis, Cody Rawlings and Brodie Davis.

Arrangements are under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home.

Contributions are suggested and made payable to Good Samaritan, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include a son, Chad Zaerr and wife Jacci, Centerton, Ark; a daughter, Crystal Zaerr, Lamar; one brother, Tim Burns, Pittsburg, Kan.; two sisters-in-law, Rose Marie Burns, Cherokee, Kan. and Barb Smith, Lamar; four grand-dogs, Riley, Ridley, Lucy and Sadie; her best friend for over 40 years, Earlene Rawlings and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne; three brothers, William "David" Burns, John Raymond "Ray" Burns and George Edwin "Ed" Burns; one sister, Joyce Ella Bole, one sister-in-law, Deb Burns and one brother-in-law, Randy Bole.

Mrs. Zaerr was born October 3, 1948, in Girard, Kan., to George Marshall and Ella L.(Crank) Burns. She graduated in 1966 from Southeast Rural High School in Cherokee, Kan. On October 23, 1982, she married Wayne Laverne Zaerr at the First Baptist Church in Lamar.

She worked 41 years as a clerk in the Lamar City Offices and retired in February 2013. She volunteered at the Good Samaritan, enjoyed water aerobics, playing Candy Crush and spending time with her children, grand-dogs and family and friends.
