ALICE MARIE MARTI
LIBERAL- Services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 9, at the Apostolic Christian Faith Church in Pittsburg, Kan., for Alice Marie (Braker) Marti, 88, Liberal, who died Sunday, Sept. 6, 2020, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, after a sudden illness. Burial was in the Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery in Lamar.
Arrangements were under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home, Lamar.
Contributions are suggested and made payable to Apostolic Christian Faith Church, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, of the home; two sons, Roger Marti and wife Kathy, Liberal and Kurt Marti and wife Linda, Lamar; one daughter, Becky Luthi and husband Lawrence, Liberal and three sisters-in-law, Bonnie Braker, Liberal, Kay Marti, Lamar and Delores Marti, Gridley, Ill. Also surviving her are 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Luthi; seven brothers, Fred, Lester, Albert, Ben, Raymond, Oscar and Leonard Braker and three sisters, Edna Somerhalder, Pearl Braker and Bernice Frieden.
Mrs. Marti was born June 28, 1932, in Barton County, to Samuel and Sarah (Banwart) Braker. She was a 1950 graduate of Lamar High School. She married Charles Marti on August 30, 1954. They lived in Lamar for 1 ½ years before moving to the farm at their current location, where they raised their family. She enjoyed her life as a farm wife and homemaker and spending time with her family, extended family and church family.
She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Faith Church in Pittsburg, Kan.
