MARY FERN FORD

SHELDON- Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada for Mary Fern Ford, 75, Sheldon, who died Saturday, Oct. 31, 2020, at Nevada Regional Medical Center in Nevada, Mo. Cremation will follow the service.

Arrangements are under the direction of Ferry Funeral Home.

Survivors include her husband, Walter; her three sons, Dwayne Ford, Dennis Ford and Darrell Ford, all of Sheldon; grandchildren, Dustin Ford and Camie Ford; great-grandchildren, Daxton, Denver and Claire; two sisters and three brothers; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special family friend, Paula Bechtle, Nevada.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters and two brothers.

Mrs. Ford was born April 6, 1945, in Cheyenne, Wyo., to Loren Richard and Kathern Marie (Deemie) Scholes. She married Walter D. Ford on June 14, 1964, in Sheldon.

She had resided in Sheldon since 1963. She was a 1964 graduate of Sheldon High School and was a Certified Nurse Assistant, having worked at Chastain (Lakeview) Nursing Home in Lamar and Moore-Few Nursing Home in Nevada for 13 years until her retirement.

She and her husband had lived on the family farm since 1964. She was a member of the Sheldon Christian Church. She enjoyed bird watching and loved reading and coloring with her grandchildren.
