Watson signs to swim for William Jewell

Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger Meghan Watson, a senior at Lamar High School and the daughter of Alan and Lynnette Watson, signed a letter of intent on Wednesday, Nov. 11, to swim at William Jewell College in Liberty. Meghan, who has been competing with the CatTracks and TigerShark swim teams for the past seven years, holds four high school records and five regional records. When asked why William Jewell she responded that she felt that they weren’t just interested in what she had accomplished, rather they saw the potential she had to grow. Plans for this year include not only competing in two events at the state swim meet, but she plans to medal in one, and win in the other. There is no doubt that Meghan will accomplish anything she sets her mind to and she is wished the very best of luck in her future endeavors.
